Role Description This is a full-time, remote Power BI Developer role focused on designing and building data models and interactive dashboards that support business intelligence and reporting needs. The Power BI Developer will work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, translate business questions into data solutions, and implement scalable, well-structured reports and self-service analytics. Daily responsibilities include developing data pipelines and ETL processes, optimizing data sources, and ensuring data quality and consistency across datasets. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, performing in-depth data analysis, and applying best practices in performance tuning, security, and governance within the Power BI environment. The Power BI Developer will also contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement of analytics standards and frameworks.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in data modeling and data warehousing to design robust, scalable semantic models and enterprise BI solutions.
Candidates should possess experience building dashboards and interactive reports in Power BI, with a focus on usability, performance, and visual best practices.
Candidates should possess advanced analytical skills to interpret complex datasets, identify trends, and translate findings into actionable insights for business stakeholders.
Candidates should possess hands-on experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes, including data integration, transformation, and automation across diverse sources.
Proficiency with Power BI (DAX, Power Query), and familiarity with SQL and cloud data platforms such as Azure or Snowflake.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with additional BI and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik, Domo) and knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as Python are beneficial.
