Role Overview
CareStack seeks to hire Engineer – QA to build its next generation healthcare platform. You will be reporting to a Staff SDE in your business unit , to ensure quality of our releases using your automation and manual quality assurance skills.
Key responsibilities
Plan/Strategize/Develop and Execute
Prepare test plans and test cases, facilitate review of your test cases with leads/developers. Develop the ability to visualize end user scenarios and develop an eye for detail. Execute test cases, use bug tracking systems to create and track your bug’s life cycle. As a reporter, streamline status updates and collaboration with developers to ensure that issues are taken to closure within defined SLAs.
Requirement Analysis
As your team's quality assurance engineer you should ensure effective participation in sprint grooming and planning meetings. You should understand the persona for which you are testing the user story, understand the value proposition for our customers, and ask relevant questions to your product owner. Analyze the impact of your story on user journeys, other functional modules and then your automation testing suites. Critically review prototypes and visual designs. Raise questions on user experience, information architecture and non functional aspects.Define the complexity of your story in alignment with your squad developers and estimate your story by breaking QA tasks into measurable sub tasks.
Automation
Develop API automation test cases for the features delivered as part of the sprint using CareStack API automation framework.Develop and execute performance test cases using CareStack's preferred performance testing tool. Develop strong programming skills to produce highly reusable and maintainable automation code.

Process Definition/adherence
Ensure engineering gates are adhered to by developers/qa members in your team Follow/ensure set processes while collaborating with DevOps/Platform/Regression team. Deviations should be highlighted in scrum meetings. Effective communication and collaboration with Prod Support/Prod Management team and ensure strong adherence to OLA set with these teams

Have an insatiable itch to join and the courage to scale an early-stage technology company.
Have 1+ years of experience in ensuring quality of modern day web platforms, using manual and automation techniques.
Have hands on experience in a fourth generation programming language like C# or Java.
Are proficient in data structures and algorithms, and object oriented analysis and design of software systems.
Have an eye for detail, and an ability to visualize how applications are used by end users.
Have used automated API testing frameworks or front end testing frameworks.
