Role Description:
This is a full-time, on-site Junior Architect role based in Kolkata. The Junior Architect will support the design and development of prefabricated steel structures. Daily activities include preparing architectural drawings, 3D models, and layout plans; assisting in design detailing for steel structures; and coordinating with customers, senior architects, structural engineers, and project managers. The role involves participating in site visits, collecting measurements, supporting design adjustments based on site conditions, and ensuring designs align with safety standards and relevant regulations. The Junior Architect will help in preparing documentation, presentations, and design reports, and contribute to design reviews and integration of architectural concepts with fabrication and construction requirements.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, with the ability to develop functional and aesthetic solutions for prefabricated steel structures.
Basic understanding of Software Development and Integration concepts as they relate to using design and BIM tools, CAD software, and digital collaboration platforms.
Ability to assist with Project Management activities, including coordination with cross-functional teams, tracking design deliverables, and supporting timelines and quality standards.
Proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar tools; familiarity with steel structure detailing is an advantage.
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Strong visualization, drafting, and technical drawing skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with architects, engineers, and site teams.
Willingness to visit project sites in and around Kolkata and adapt to a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
Knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and industrial building design principles is beneficial.
