Graphic Designer – Print Production & Prepress

Pitaara India is looking for a Graphic Designer with strong print production and prepress knowledge. This role is more focused on preparing and processing artwork for printing than on creative designing alone.
The candidate should be comfortable working with files created in CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, and should be able to correctly prepare, migrate and finalise artwork in CorelDRAW for production.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and process artwork for printing as per production instructions.
Convert and correctly migrate designs from Illustrator, Photoshop and other formats into CorelDRAW.
Set up files with accurate dimensions, margins, bleed, alignment and positioning.
Check artwork for print-readiness before sending it for production.
Make necessary corrections to files based on printing and production requirements.
Work with actual product sizes and real-world measurements while preparing artwork.
Properly arrange, stage and impose jobs for printing where required.
Coordinate with the production team to ensure files are processed correctly.
Handle basic design changes and artwork modifications when required.
Required Skills
Strong working knowledge of CorelDRAW.
Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
Good understanding of printing processes and prepress file preparation.
Strong understanding of sizes, measurements, resolution, colour modes, bleed and print layouts.
Ability to identify and fix common artwork and print-file issues.
Good attention to detail and accuracy.
Prior experience in a printing press, packaging company, advertising production house or similar setup will be preferred.

We are looking for someone who understands that a design file looking correct on screen is not enough — it must also be technically correct and properly prepared for actual printing and production.
Candidates with hands-on print production experience will be preferred.
