Role Description The Postdoctoral Researcher in Electrochemistry internship role at SRM University-AP is an on-site position based in Vijayawada. The researcher will conduct experimental and theoretical electrochemistry studies, including designing experiments, preparing samples, and operating relevant instrumentation in the laboratory. Daily responsibilities include collecting and analyzing data, maintaining accurate lab records, and contributing to publications, reports, and presentations. The role may involve supporting grant proposals, mentoring students, and collaborating with faculty and interdisciplinary teams on related projects. The position requires full-time commitment during the internship period and active participation in group meetings and departmental activities.
Qualifications
Strong laboratory skills in electrochemistry or related areas, including safe handling of materials and operation of analytical instruments.
Proven research experience, with the ability to formulate hypotheses, design experiments, and interpret results.
Solid foundation in Physics or related physical sciences, supporting the understanding of electrochemical processes.
Competence in data analysis, including statistical methods, modeling, and use of relevant software tools.
Interest in teaching and mentoring, with the ability to guide students in laboratory and research activities.
PhD in Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Materials Science, Physics, or a closely related discipline (or equivalent international qualification).
Strong scientific writing and communication skills, with experience in preparing manuscripts, reports, and presentations.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and manage projects with minimal supervision.
Familiarity with electrochemical techniques (e.g., cyclic voltammetry, impedance spectroscopy) is highly desirable.
Commitment to ethical research practices, laboratory safety, and continuous learning.
