Role Description The Director of Technology is a full-time, on-site role based in Canada and Australia, responsible for leading the overall technology vision and execution for Esse India. This role oversees IT systems, infrastructure, and applications that support immigration consulting operations, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability. The Director will manage cross-functional technology projects, align IT strategy with business goals, and collaborate with leadership to drive digital transformation and process automation. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising IT teams, setting technical standards, managing vendor relationships, monitoring system performance, and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and client experience. The role also involves establishing governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with relevant data protection regulations, and proactively identifying technology risks and opportunities.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Information Technology skills, including managing enterprise systems, infrastructure, and cybersecurity practices.
Candidates should possess solid Program Management and Project Management skills to oversee multiple initiatives, timelines, and budgets.
Candidates should possess IT Strategy skills to design and implement technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
Candidates should possess proven Team Leadership skills for guiding IT professionals, fostering collaboration, and developing talent.
Experience in professional services or consulting environments, ideally within immigration, legal, or related domains, is beneficial.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and support informed decision-making.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Experience with cloud-based solutions, data protection and privacy regulations, and process automation tools is an advantage.
