Role Overview
Mody University of Science & Technology is seeking a dynamic, well-connected, and institution-
oriented HR leader to head the Human Resources function of the University. The role requires
expertise in leadership hiring, talent acquisition, workforce planning, organisational development, and
HR systems within large academic or institutional environments. The ideal candidate should possess
strong professional networks and proven capability in attracting high-quality academic,
administrative, and leadership talent for a rapidly evolving university ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Leadership Hiring
• Lead recruitment for academic, administrative, and senior leadership positions.
• Build talent pipelines and undertake strategic talent hunting for key institutional roles.
• Strengthen employer branding, recruitment outreach, and candidate engagement.
• Leverage professional networks and executive search approaches for leadership hiring.
Strategic HR Leadership
• Lead HR planning, workforce development, and institutional HR transformation initiatives.
• Advise senior leadership on HR strategy, organisational development, and workforce
analytics.
• Develop progressive HR systems, policies, and performance frameworks aligned with
institutional goals.
HR Operations & Compliance
• Oversee HR operations including onboarding, contracts, probation, appraisals, and separation
processes.
• Ensure compliance with employment regulations, university policies, and statutory
requirements.
• Lead HR digitisation initiatives including ERP/HRMS optimisation and HR analytics systems.
Qualifications & Experience
MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent qualification from a reputed institution with minimum
15+ years of HR experience, including significant leadership exposure. Experience in universities,
higher education institutions, large educational groups, or defence establishments is highly desirable.
