Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Secondary Market Analyst-US Mortgage to join our growing mortgage team. This role plays a critical part in managing rate locks, pricing accuracy, and pipeline risk while supporting sales, secondary marketing, and operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and comfortable working in a fast-moving market environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage daily rate locks, extensions, renegotiations, and relocks
• Ensure lock accuracy and compliance with investor and company guidelines
• Monitor pipeline activity and assist with hedge coverage as needed
• Communicate effectively with Loan Officers, Account Executives, and Operations
• Maintain pricing updates and distribute rate sheets as required
• Support secondary marketing and capital markets initiatives
• Troubleshoot lock issues and resolve pricing discrepancies
• Assist with market updates and lock guidance when requested
Qualifications & Experience
• 2+ years of mortgage lock desk or secondary marketing experience preferred
• Strong understanding of rate locks, extensions, and investor guidelines
• Experience with Encompass LOS (required)
• Familiarity with PPEs and hedge platforms (EPPS, Polly, Optimal Blue, etc.) a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment
