Role Description This full-time, on-site Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer role is based in Ahmedabad. The Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer will lead mechanical design activities for robotic systems and components, including concept development, detailed design, and optimization for performance, reliability, and manufacturability. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and reviewing CAD models and drawings, performing design calculations, collaborating with cross-functional teams (electronics, software, manufacturing), and supporting prototyping and testing. The role also involves design documentation, participation in design reviews, resolving mechanical issues during production and deployment, and contributing to continuous improvement of design standards and processes.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Design Engineering and Mechanical Engineering for complex robotic systems.
Candidates should possess solid expertise in Machine Design and Product Design for high-performance, robust mechanisms.
Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling, detailing, and assemblies.
Candidates should possess experience with materials selection, manufacturing processes, and tolerance analysis.
Candidates should possess the ability to interpret engineering standards, perform basic FEA or analytical calculations, and apply GD&T.
Candidates should possess strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective collaboration and communication skills.
Candidates should possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; experience in robotics or automation is highly beneficial.
