Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Junior Lawyer role based in Delhi, India. The Junior Lawyer will assist senior attorneys with legal research, drafting petitions, contracts, opinions, and other legal documents, and preparing case files for hearings and trials. Responsibilities include attending client meetings, taking detailed instructions, preparing case notes, and helping develop legal strategies under supervision. The role also involves reviewing statutes, regulations, and case law, maintaining organized documentation, and supporting the team with court filings and compliance-related work. The Junior Lawyer is expected to uphold professional ethics, manage assigned workloads efficiently, and contribute to a respectful and inclusive workplace.
Qualifications
Law degree (LL.B. or equivalent) from an accredited institution and eligibility to practice law in India.
Strong legal research and writing abilities, including drafting pleadings, contracts, and opinions.
Familiarity with civil and/or criminal procedures, court practices, and basic litigation processes.
Ability to analyze facts, identify legal issues, and propose clear, structured arguments.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction and teamwork.
High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to confidentiality and professional ethics.
Proficiency with standard office software and legal research tools; willingness to learn new systems.
Prior internship or entry-level experience in a law firm, legal clinic, or corporate legal team is an advantage.
