Roles & Responsibilities:
Support and enhance D365 F&O Retail/Commerce modules — POS, inventory, omnichannel, merchandising, and store operations.
Configure and support POS/MPOS solutions across store formats, including hardware station profiles, peripherals, offline/online modes, cash management (cash declaration, safe drops, till reconciliation), and POS UI/receipt/tender type configuration and troubleshooting.
Structure and maintain product assortments and catalogs — building category/navigation hierarchies, enriching attributes, and managing multi-channel product publishing (in-store, e-commerce, call center, mobile).
Configure retail pricing engines, advanced discounts, mix-and-match/threshold offers, loyalty programs, price groups, and customer-facing promotions in line with business requirements.
Set up and manage retail channels — store hierarchies, channel profiles, functionality profiles, and commerce parameters — enabling seamless integration across online, in-store, mobile, and call center channels.
Manage omnichannel processes such as click-and-collect, ship-from-store, in-store pickup, and cross-channel returns/exchanges — overseeing the full order lifecycle from capture through fulfillment, shipping, returns, and refunds.
Ensure a consistent omnichannel customer experience by aligning data and customer insights across channels.
Configure and troubleshoot retail statement posting, store/channel journals, and retail-specific reconciliation between POS transactions and back-office finance.
Manage and optimize inventory operations across multiple retail and fulfillment locations, including stock counts, replenishment, transfer orders, and inventory visibility/accuracy.
Work with Distributed Order Management (DOM) to optimize fulfillment across channels.
Integrate with third-party systems including CRMs, e-commerce platforms, loyalty systems, payment gateways, and 3PL/warehouse systems, ensuring seamless data exchange.
Customize e-commerce solutions and Commerce SDK components.
Monitor and secure payment transactions to ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., PCI).
Perform retail analytics and reporting using Power BI or similar tools.
Utilize Application Insights and Kusto queries for log analysis and troubleshooting.
Translate retail pain points (stock-outs, checkout friction, pricing inconsistencies, loyalty gaps) into efficient functional designs that improve inventory accuracy and customer experience.
Author detailed Functional Design Documents (FDDs) for custom retail reports, POS extensions, receipt/journal customizations, and channel interfaces, collaborating closely with technical teams on delivery. Lead and support retail-focused User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles — store pilot testing, POS regression testing, defect triage — ahead of go-live.
Provide L1/L2 production support for retail/commerce issues, including POS transaction errors, channel sync/CDX (Commerce Data Exchange) issues, and store-to-HQ data flow monitoring.
Execute TLOG (transaction log) integration and BOM aggregation initiatives to improve store-to-HQ data flow and streamline retail operational reporting.
Support multi-country, multi-store retail POS rollouts, ensuring consistent configuration and deployment governance across large store networks.
Design and validate POS extensions and custom billing functionality (e.g., IMEI tracking for serialized goods, retail billing rules) in collaboration with development teams.
Lead requirement-gathering workshops and client demos, translating business needs into Scope Design Documents and Functional Design Documents (FDDs) for retail solution build-out.
Configure SCM parameters, procurement hierarchies, and vendor master setups across multiple legal entities to support retail merchandise procurement.
Manage sales and purchase trade agreements to ensure automated, contract-compliant pricing across high-volume vendor catalogs feeding retail channels.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, DBAs, merchandising, store operations, and business users) to ensure timely incident and enhancement resolution.
Technical Competency:
3+ years of hands-on ERP experience (Dynamics 365 F&O), including at least 2–3 years focused specifically on D365 F&O Retail/Commerce implementation and/or support.
In-depth, hands-on knowledge of the D365 Commerce/Retail module — POS/MPOS, store and channel setup, product information management (PIM), pricing and promotions engine, loyalty and gift card programs, and omnichannel order fulfillment.
Hands-on experience with retail-specific configuration: hardware station profiles, cash management, retail statement posting, and store/channel journals.
Practical understanding of retail business processes — merchandising lifecycle, assortment planning, seasonal/promotional campaigns, store operations, and customer experience drivers.
Working knowledge of D365 F&O Supply Chain Management (SCM) — procurement, vendor management, and trade agreements — as it supports retail merchandising.
Experience authoring Functional Design Documents (FDDs) and working with technical teams on custom reports, POS extensions, and channel interfaces.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for documentation and reporting.
Strong incident management skills, with experience handling production support tickets (L1/L2) for retail/commerce issues.
Experience in customer-facing support or services roles, with a customer-first mindset.
Strong problem-solving, logical reasoning, and troubleshooting capabilities.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; able to work directly with store operations, merchandising, and technical teams.
Proven ability to work in collaborative, fast-paced environments.
Commitment to continuous learning and adaptability.
Experience across the full retail project lifecycle — requirements gathering, configuration, UAT, and go-live/store rollout support.
Exposure to POS transaction/data flow concepts (e.g., TLOG integration) and store-to-HQ reconciliation reporting.
Willingness to work occasional shifts outside local business hours or weekends based on project needs.
