Model-Based Development (MBD) Engineer with expertise in Automotive Battery Management Systems (BMS) to design, develop, and validate control algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink and Model-Based Design methodologies. The candidate will be responsible for developing battery monitoring, estimation, protection, and balancing functions compliant with automotive standards and functional safety requirements.
Required Qualifications
BTech Electronics/Electrical Engineering with embedded controls development focus preferred
4 to 6 years industry experience or equivalent academic experience in development of automotive controls software
Experience of model-based development using MATLAB, Simulink, State flow and autocode generation using embedded coder and its optimization.
MATLAB model verification using MIL, SIL using Simulink test manager , Coverage using Simulink design verifier
Well versed with MAB Guidelines for Model based development
Functional Testing and Debugging of models and code
Code Integration (application and BSW), exposure to different IDE, compilers and debuggers
Experience in model development for BMS Automotive
Know-how of Automotive BMS architecture and experience with SOC, SOH, SOP algorithms.
Develop software in compliance with ISO 26262 Functional Safety requirements.
Good to Have:
Experience in AUTOSAR MBD
Experience with programming in C
Experience in safety-critical automotive ECU development.
Good communication and presentation skills required for documenting software design, test results and observations.
