Company Description Paresh M Dave Advocate is a law practice based in Ahmedabad that focuses on Indirect Tax litigation and consultancy. We deal in Indirect tax litigation before various Adjudication, Appellate forums aswell as focus on writ petitions before the Highcourt.
Role Description The Associate Advocate will work full time on-site in Ahmedabad, supporting the practice in a range of litigation , consultancy and advisory matters. Day-to-day responsibilities include research, drafting pleadings, notices, writ petitions, appeals etc. The role involves but is not limited to appearing and attending court hearings, coordinating with clients, research, and preparing case files. The Associate Advocate is expected to have some knowledge or experience in Indirect Taxes especially in Customs, Central Excise, Servict Tax and GST.
Qualifications
Law degree from a recognized institution and eligibility to practice law in India; provisional or final enrollment with the Bar Council of Gujarat or any other Bar Council of any State or intent to enroll within a reasonable time frame.
Strong legal research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret statutes, judgments, and regulations and apply them to practical scenarios.
Proficiency in legal drafting, including pleadings, notices, agreements, affidavits, and written submissions, with attention to clarity and accuracy.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Hindi, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, courts, and colleagues.
High standards of professional ethics, confidentiality, and integrity, with a willingness to take responsibility for assigned tasks.
Ability to work independently under guidance, be receptive to feedback, and engage in continuous learning and skill development.
Prior internship or work experience in litigation or a law office in Ahmedabad or elsewhere is an advantage but not mandatory for motivated candidates.
0-4 Years experience would be ideal but flexible.
