Role Description The 2D Draughtsman will create detailed technical drawings, plans, and layouts to support event production and spatial design. Day-to-day responsibilities include translating concepts and sketches into accurate 2D drawings, updating and revising plans as project requirements evolve, and coordinating with designers, production teams, and vendors to ensure feasibility and precision. The role involves maintaining organized drawing files, adhering to project timelines, and following company standards and client specifications. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, requiring close collaboration with the local team and occasional visits to project locations.
Qualifications
Strong 2D drafting skills using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, similar CAD tools) and proficiency in producing precise technical drawings.
Ability to interpret design briefs, architectural plans, and event layouts, and convert them into clear, functional 2D plans and elevations.
Attention to detail, spatial awareness, and basic understanding of structural, staging, and event production requirements.
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with designers, project managers, and vendors in a fast-paced environment.
Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Relevant diploma or degree in Drafting, Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
Prior experience in events, exhibitions, architecture, interiors, or related design and production fields is an advantage.
Willingness to work on-site in Bengaluru and occasionally adjust working hours to align with project schedules and event timelines.
