1. Job Purpose
We are looking for a skilled Revit BIM Modeler with experience in Electrical BIM, Busduct/Busbar Trunking Systems, MEP services, and 3D modeling.
The candidate will be responsible for developing accurate 3D BIM models, shop drawings, installation layouts, and coordinated BIM models for busduct systems and associated electrical installations.
2. Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed 3D Busduct models using Autodesk Revit based on engineering drawings, electrical layouts, specifications, and site requirements.
Prepare BIM models for Busbar Trunking / Busduct systems, including:
Associated accessories.
Prepare Revit families for busduct components and accessories as per company standards.
Create and maintain parametric BIM families with appropriate dimensions, connection points, parameters, and material information.
Generate shop drawings, fabrication drawings, installation drawings, and layout drawings from BIM models.
Coordinate busduct routing with HVAC, cable trays, piping, structural elements, ceilings, and other MEP services.
Identify and resolve clashes/interferences between busduct and other services.
Incorporate engineering changes and maintain accurate model revisions.
Extract BOQ/BOM, quantities, lengths, component schedules, and material information from Revit models.
Prepare coordinated drawings for manufacturing and site installation.
Review drawings/models for dimensional accuracy, constructability, and compliance with project requirements.
Coordinate with Design Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Production, Project Engineers, and Site Teams.
Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to determine appropriate busduct routing.
Participate in BIM coordination meetings and provide technical support for model-related issues.
Maintain proper BIM standards, naming conventions, layering, model organization, and revision control.
Support preparation of As-Built BIM models based on site modifications and final installation conditions.
3. Technical Skills Required
Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Revit, particularly Revit MEP.
Good knowledge of 3D modeling and BIM methodology.
Experience in creating and modifying Revit Families.
Knowledge of AutoCAD and preparation of 2D engineering/shop drawings.
Ability to understand electrical single-line diagrams, GA drawings, layout drawings, and installation drawings.
Basic understanding of Busduct/Busbar Trunking Systems and electrical distribution systems.
Understanding of dimensions, clearances, elevations, routing, and installation requirements.
Knowledge of BIM coordination and clash detection.
Familiarity with Navisworks or similar BIM coordination software will be an advantage.
Knowledge of MS Excel for schedules, quantity extraction, and documentation.
