HR Generalist

In this role, you will support the full employee lifecycle across multiple APAC locations, working closely with managers and employees to foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace. You’ll collaborate with a global HR team, gain exposure to diverse labor markets, and play a hands-on role in shaping the employee experience across the region. OBJECTIVES OF THE ROLE
Act as a trusted HR point of contact for employees and managers across APAC, providing guidance on HR policies, processes, and best practices
Support the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding and development to performance management and offboarding
Ensure HR operations are compliant with local labor laws and regulations across APAC jurisdictions
Contribute to building a consistent and engaging employee experience aligned with BlueMatrix’s global culture
Partner with the global HR team to roll out company-wide initiatives and adapt them to regional needs
Use HR data and insights to identify trends and support informed decision-making
DAILY AND MONTHLY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for new hires across APAC
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS system, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
Support recruitment efforts by coordinating interviews, liaising with hiring managers, and managing candidate communications
Assist in the administration of performance review cycles, including tracking timelines, preparing materials, and supporting managers through the process
Respond to employee queries regarding contracts, benefits, leave entitlements, and HR policies in a timely and professional manner
Coordinate with local payroll providers and finance teams to ensure accurate and on-time payroll processing
Track and report on key HR metrics such as headcount, attrition, and time-to-hire on a regular basis
Support the planning and execution of employee engagement initiatives, surveys, and regional team events
Assist in drafting and updating HR policies and documentation to reflect local legal requirements and company standards
Liaise with external partners, including recruitment agencies, benefits providers, and legal advisors, as needed
WHAT YOU BRING
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
Solid understanding of HR fundamentals, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR compliance
Familiarity with labor laws and employment regulations in at least one APAC jurisdiction (e.g., Philippines, India, Japan, Australia, New Zealand)
Experience working with HRIS platforms and applicant tracking systems
Proficiency in MS Office / Microsoft 365, including Excel for HR reporting and data analysis
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in an additional APAC language is a plus
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Comfortable working across time zones and collaborating with remote and distributed teams
