About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
Inside a US-headquartered product company scaling its India hub, a new competitive intelligence practice is being built to replace ad hoc deal feedback and scattered analyst reports with a structured, credible read on the competition. Flexiple has partnered with the company to hire the Competitive Intelligence Analyst who will help build it, sitting inside the product strategy organisation.
The problem this role solves
Product and sales leadership currently rely on anecdotal deal feedback, occasional analyst reports and whatever a product manager happened to notice on a competitor's changelog. That patchwork breaks down as the company scales, and this role exists to replace it with a proper competitive intelligence practice: structured tracking, credible teardown decks, and win or loss analysis that leadership actually trusts when a pricing or positioning decision is on the table.
What a normal month looks like
Building and maintaining detailed competitor profiles covering product, pricing, packaging and go-to-market moves
Running win or loss analysis with sales, turning deal-level feedback into patterns leadership can act on
Producing competitor teardown decks ahead of major product launches or renewal cycles
Monitoring analyst reports, review sites, job postings and public filings for early competitive signals
Partnering with product marketing to shape positioning and battlecards used by the sales team
The bar for a strong analyst
3 to 7 years of experience in competitive intelligence, product marketing, strategy consulting or equity research style analysis, ideally within a software or technology business. You should be able to read a competitor's product changes and infer the strategy behind them, write a teardown deck that a VP would forward without editing, and hold your own in a room with sales and product leadership who will push back on your read.
Where and how you'd work
The role is based out of Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad, Delhi NCR or Mumbai, or Remote (India), working closely with a largely US-hours product and marketing team, with meaningful overlap hours expected.
The hiring path
Expect an HR Screening, a case-style assignment, a Panel Round with product and sales stakeholders, and a final Culture Fit conversation. There is no need to apply separately elsewhere; this application already puts you forward for other Flexiple-matched roles that fit your background.
