About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

A domestic insurance company modernising its operations has reached the point where regulatory tracking can no longer live in one compliance officer's inbox alongside everything else. IRDAI issues requirements often, product filings need to move faster than they currently do, and the company has partnered with Flexiple, a managed marketplace placing specialist talent inside growing India teams, to hire a dedicated Regulatory Affairs Specialist.
Keeping pace with IRDAI
You would own the company's regulatory relationship with IRDAI end to end: preparing and filing product and pricing submissions, tracking approval timelines, responding to regulator queries, and keeping a live view of which filings are pending, approved, or need renewal. You would also monitor new IRDAI circulars and guidelines, assess what they mean for existing products and processes, and brief the relevant internal teams, from product to operations, on what needs to change and by when.
What is currently falling behind
Product filing timelines are tracked informally and have slipped more than once
New IRDAI circulars are read by compliance but not consistently translated into action across teams
There is no single regulatory calendar that product, operations, and leadership all work from
The profile that fits
3 to 7 years of regulatory affairs or compliance experience in insurance or financial services
Direct experience with IRDAI filings and correspondence
An LLB or equivalent qualification, with strong written communication for regulator-facing submissions
The ability to build a regulatory calendar and processes that other teams will actually use
Location: Mumbai, Gurugram — hybrid, based alongside the compliance and product teams
Expect an HR screening, a scenario round on a filing or circular-response exercise, and a panel round with compliance and product leadership.
