Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cardiologist role based in Faridkot. The Cardiologist will evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with cardiovascular conditions through outpatient consultations, inpatient rounds, and emergency care as required. Daily responsibilities include reviewing patient histories, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, and performing or overseeing relevant procedures within their scope of practice. The role also involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, counseling patients and families on prevention and lifestyle modifications, maintaining accurate medical records, and adhering to clinical protocols and regulatory standards. The Cardiologist is expected to participate in case discussions, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and stay current with advances in cardiology.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Medicine, with comprehensive clinical knowledge and experience in managing diverse patient populations.
Specialized skills in Cardiology, including diagnosis and treatment of coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, and other cardiovascular disorders.
Competence in Interventional Cardiology and Vascular procedures, or a willingness to collaborate closely with interventional and vascular specialists.
Experience or exposure to Nuclear Medicine applications in cardiology, such as cardiac imaging and stress testing, is highly beneficial.
Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with completed residency and relevant cardiology fellowship or specialization.
Valid medical license and registration with applicable medical councils, with eligibility to practice in the region.
Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to evidence-based practice and patient safety.
Effective communication skills, collaborative mindset, and ability to work respectfully within multidisciplinary teams.
Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development, continuous medical education, and quality improvement activities.
