Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Design Engineer role based in Chennai. The Design Engineer will develop and refine equipment and plant designs, create detailed drawings and models, and ensure designs meet technical, safety, and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include working with CAD tools, collaborating with mechanical and electrical engineering teams, preparing specifications and documentation, and supporting prototyping and production activities. The role involves reviewing design feedback, optimizing products for manufacturability and performance, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues. The Design Engineer will also assist in project planning, timelines, and continuous improvement of design processes.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Design Engineering and Product Design.
Candidates should possess strong skills in Mechanical Engineering and Computer-Aided Design (CAD).
Candidates should possess strong skills in Electrical Engineering and related industrial equipment design.
Relevant experience with industrial plants, machinery, or equipment design is beneficial.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, standards, and technical specifications.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in design and documentation.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams on-site in Chennai.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline is preferred.
