Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Chef role based in Hyderabad. The Chef is responsible for planning menus, preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, and ensuring consistent food quality aligned with the hotel’s standards and guest expectations. Day-to-day tasks include supervising kitchen operations, coordinating with kitchen staff, managing inventory, and maintaining food safety and hygiene protocols. The Chef will collaborate with the hotel management team to design seasonal menus, support special events, and help control food costs while minimizing waste. The role also involves training and guiding junior kitchen staff, ensuring a safe, efficient, and positive work environment.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Chef or Senior Cook in hotels, resorts, or reputable restaurants, preferably in a multi-cuisine or fine-dining environment.
Strong culinary skills, including menu planning, food preparation, presentation, and portion control, with attention to quality and consistency.
Knowledge of food safety standards, kitchen hygiene practices, and compliance with local health regulations.
Ability to manage kitchen operations, coordinate with team members, and work efficiently during peak service hours.
Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work respectfully within a diverse team.
Experience in inventory management, cost control, and minimizing food waste is an advantage.
Culinary certification or diploma from a recognized institute is preferred; equivalent hands-on experience will also be considered.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by hotel operations.
