New product names get chosen in a hurry at this packaged-foods company, and more than once a variant has shipped to modern-trade shelves before anyone checked whether the name was actually clear to use. The company, now building out the legal function behind its growing brand portfolio, has asked Flexiple to help it hire a Trademark Specialist to fix that gap.
You would own trademark clearance and filing for a portfolio that spans several product lines and is adding new SKUs every quarter. That means running searches before a name is locked, filing and prosecuting applications with the Indian IP Office, keeping renewal dates on track, and being the person marketing calls before a launch, not after one. You would also handle correspondence on office objections and, where needed, brief outside counsel on disputes.
Here is what we need:
2 to 6 years handling trademark filing and prosecution, in-house or at a law firm
An LLB and working familiarity with Indian trademark procedure
Comfort working directly with marketing and packaging teams on tight timelines
An organised approach to tracking a growing, multi-line portfolio
Clear written English for filings and stakeholder correspondence
