Role Description The Admissions Officer will manage the end-to-end admissions process for Aakash programs at the Tiruchirappalli center, ensuring a smooth and transparent experience for prospective students and families. This full-time, on-site role involves counseling students on course options, eligibility, and career pathways, as well as explaining admission procedures, fee structures, and institutional policies. The role includes handling walk-in and phone inquiries, conducting follow-ups with leads, maintaining accurate records of applications, and coordinating with academic and operations teams to finalize enrollments. The Admissions Officer will also support admission-related events such as open houses, seminars, and school outreach initiatives, while adhering to quality and compliance standards. Regular reporting on admission metrics and contributing to continuous process improvement are integral parts of the position.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Skills to build trust with students and families and collaborate effectively with internal teams.
Candidates should possess excellent Communication abilities, including clear spoken and written communication, presentation skills, and active listening.
Candidates should possess a customer-focused mindset with solid Customer Service skills to handle inquiries, resolve concerns, and ensure a positive admissions experience.
Candidates should possess an understanding of the Education sector and student counseling, preferably within test-prep or K-12/higher education environments; experience with International Admissions is an added advantage.
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, with preference for education, management, or related fields.
Proficiency in MS Office and basic data management; ability to work with CRM or admissions software is beneficial.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple inquiries and deadlines.
Comfort working in a target-driven environment, with a commitment to ethical, student-centric admissions practices.
