Role Description The Head of Technical Recruitment is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, KA, responsible for leading and scaling HummingBird’s technology and IT recruiting function. This role oversees end-to-end hiring for technical positions, including workforce planning, role definition, sourcing strategies, and candidate selection, while ensuring a consistent, high-quality experience for both candidates and hiring teams. The Head of Technical Recruitment will design and implement data-driven recruitment processes, leverage HummingBird’s AI-driven tools for candidate sourcing and evaluation, and partner closely with engineering, product, and technology leaders to understand evolving talent needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing a technical recruiting team, mentoring recruiters, optimizing recruitment operations and metrics, building strategic talent pipelines, and representing HummingBird’s employer brand within the tech community.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in Technology Recruitment and Technical Recruiting, with a track record of filling roles across software engineering, data, product, and infrastructure.
Hands-on experience in IT Recruitment and Recruiting, including sourcing, interviewing, and selection for a variety of technical skill sets.
Demonstrated leadership in Hiring processes, including designing selection frameworks, partnering with hiring managers, and driving offer and negotiation strategies.
Proven experience building and leading high-performing recruitment teams, preferably in a fast-paced technology or SaaS environment.
Comfort working with AI-driven recruitment tools, analytics, and data to inform decisions, measure performance, and optimize processes.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
Strong understanding of technical roles, market trends, and talent landscapes in Toronto and global tech hubs.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience building inclusive hiring practices and promoting equitable, non-discriminatory recruitment standards.
