Test Automation Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior QA Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, with a particular emphasis on Playwright using TypeScript, Java, and the Karate framework. This role requires an individual who can work independently with minimal supervision and is proficient in utilizing GitHub Copilot to generate code efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright with TypeScript and Java.
Implement and maintain test frameworks using the Karate framework to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Utilize GitHub Copilot to assist in code generation and enhance testing efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and develop effective testing strategies.
Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution and verification.
Conduct thorough regression testing and performance testing to ensure software quality.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance overall product quality.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in software testing.
Mandatory Skills:
Strong experience with Playwright for automated testing.
Proficiency in TypeScript and Java programming languages.
Hands-on experience with the Karate framework for API testing.
Familiarity with GitHub Copilot for code generation.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with CI/CD tools and processes.
Knowledge of performance testing tools.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Experience in testing web applications and microservices.
