Role Description This is a remote internship role for a User Interface Designer at Digistall – Your Gateway to E-Commerce. The intern will collaborate with product, development, and UX teams to design intuitive interfaces that support rural and small-business users in navigating the platform. Day-to-day tasks include creating wireframes and mockups, refining visual design components, and ensuring consistent use of design systems across web and mobile experiences. The role involves translating user and business requirements into clear UI flows, preparing assets for handoff to front-end developers, and iterating designs based on feedback and usability insights. The intern is expected to participate in design reviews, document design decisions, and support continuous improvement of the overall user experience.
Qualifications
Strong User Interface Design and Visual Design skills, with the ability to create clear, consistent layouts and components.
Experience creating wireframes and Mockups using modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
Understanding of User Experience (UX) principles, including usability, accessibility, and user-centered design.
Basic Front-End Development knowledge (HTML, CSS, responsive design) to collaborate effectively with engineers.
Ability to communicate design rationale clearly and work collaboratively in a remote, cross-functional environment.
Attention to detail, openness to feedback, and willingness to iterate based on user and stakeholder input.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or certification in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field.
Familiarity with designing for diverse user groups, including first-time or low-bandwidth e-commerce users, is a plus.
