Position: Fresher QA Engineer
Location: Vadodara (Onsite)
Shift: UK shift (2 pm to 12 am)
Role Overview
We are looking for a Fresher QA Engineer who is eager to learn product testing, automation testing, and release quality processes. This role is ideal for someone who has strong attention to detail, good logical thinking, and an interest in ensuring that product features work correctly before they are released to users. The Fresher QA Engineer will work with senior QA engineers, developers, and product teams to validate public-facing product features, execute test cases, identify bugs, and gradually build automation testing skills. Automation testing knowledge or willingness to learn automation is mandatory, as we want to build strong test coverage for core product flows before every release.
Key Responsibilities
• Understand product requirements, user flows, and expected feature behavior.
• Execute test cases for new features, bug fixes, and existing product workflows.
• Perform functional, smoke, sanity, regression, and exploratory testing under guidance.
• Verify that public product features are working properly before release.
• Identify bugs, UI issues, validation issues, broken flows, and unexpected behavior.
• Report bugs clearly with steps to reproduce, expected result, actual result, screenshots/videos, and severity.
• Retest fixed issues and confirm whether bugs are resolved.
• Help maintain test cases, regression checklists, and release validation documents.
• Learn and support automation testing for repeated product flows.
• Run existing automation scripts and help analyze basic failures.
• Work closely with QA, product, and development teams to understand quality expectations.
• Learn API testing basics and validate backend responses where required.
• Participate in release testing and help ensure important flows are working as expected.
Required Skills
• Basic understanding of software testing concepts.

• Ability to understand product workflows from a user perspective.
• Basic knowledge of manual testing, test cases, bug reporting, and defect lifecycle.

• Willingness to learn automation testing tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar.
• Basic programming knowledge in JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Python, or any similar language.
• Good written communication skills for documenting bugs and test results.
• Ability to follow instructions, checklists, and QA processes carefully.
1 Automation Expectations
The candidate should be willing to learn and grow in automation testing. The role will involve:
• Learning how to write basic automation test scripts.
• Understanding how to automate repeated regression flows.
• Running existing automation test suites before release.
• Understanding basic automation failures and reporting them.
• Working with senior QA engineers to improve automation coverage.
• Gradually contributing to smoke and regression automation.
Product Quality Expectations
The Fresher QA Engineer should learn to test features not only from a technical point of view but also from a customer point of view. This includes checking:
• Whether the feature works as expected.
• Whether the user flow is easy to understand.
• Whether forms, buttons, links, filters, and actions work correctly.
• Whether validation messages and error messages are clear.
• Whether empty states, loading states, and success messages are handled properly.
• Whether the feature works on important browsers and screen sizes.
• Whether any existing flow is broken after a new change.
Preferred Qualifications
• BE/B.Tech, BCA, MCA, B.Sc IT, M.Sc IT, or equivalent technical background.
• Internship, project, or training experience in software testing.
• Basic knowledge of SQL, APIs, Postman, browser developer tools, or Git.
• Exposure to automation testing tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
• Understanding of agile/scrum development process.
• Any testing certification or QA training is a plus but not mandatory.
