Role Description The Vice President of Strategic Projects is a full-time, remote leadership role responsible for overseeing high-impact initiatives across AlphaConsult Group’s partnership with EDIS Limited. This position leads the planning, execution, and monitoring of strategic projects in renewable energy, engineering, packaging, and GIS-related services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and community development priorities. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining project roadmaps, managing cross-functional teams, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and supervising project budgets, timelines, and risk management frameworks. The role involves analyzing market opportunities, improving operational processes, and developing long-term strategies to expand services and capabilities in targeted sectors. The Vice President will also prepare executive-level reports, guide change management efforts, mentor project leaders, and promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in strategic project leadership, program management, or portfolio management within engineering, infrastructure, or renewable energy sectors.
Proficiency in developing and executing long-term strategic plans, including feasibility assessments, business cases, and performance metrics.
Strong skills in stakeholder management, cross-functional team leadership, and remote collaboration, with the ability to influence decision-making at executive levels.
Experience with renewable energy projects (e.g., micro-hydro, solar, wind), rural electrification initiatives, or general engineering maintenance and construction.
Familiarity with GIS and remote sensing applications or data-driven decision-making for infrastructure and energy planning is an advantage.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and risk management skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple complex initiatives.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of executive reports, presentations, and client-facing documentation.
Track record of leading change management efforts and building high-performing, inclusive teams across diverse cultural and geographic settings.
