Role Description
The Android Developer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Android mobile applications aligned with product and business requirements. The Android Developer collaborates closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to implement user-friendly interfaces, optimize performance, and ensure reliability across devices. Daily responsibilities include writing clean and efficient code, integrating APIs and backend services, troubleshooting and resolving issues, performing code reviews, and staying current with Android platform updates and best practices. The role also requires contributing to technical documentation and supporting the full software development lifecycle from concept to deployment and maintenance.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Mobile Application Development and experience delivering production-ready Mobile Applications.
Proficiency in Android Development and Android Design, including modern UI patterns and responsive layouts.
Solid Software Development skills, including object-oriented programming, version control (e.g., Git), and debugging.
Experience with Kotlin and/or Java, Android SDK, and common Android libraries and frameworks.
Understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and integration with backend services.
Ability to write maintainable, testable code and familiarity with unit and instrumentation testing on Android.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Knowledge of mobile security best practices and performance optimization is an advantage.
Prior experience in FinTech or digital products is a plus.
