Role Summary
The Executive - Closing Production will oversee day-to-day operations within the Closing Production function at Aspire Footwear, Arvind Limited.
The role is responsible for ensuring smooth production execution, quality adherence, manpower coordination, and timely achievement of production targets in line with approved plans and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily closing operations, including stitching, component assembly, lining attachment, reinforcement, and upper preparation.
Ensure production targets are achieved as per the approved production plan.
Monitor line balancing and optimize manpower utilization to maximize productivity.
Coordinate with Cutting, Sewing, Lasting, and Quality teams to ensure smooth workflow.
Track and report daily production output, efficiency, and line performance metrics.
Ensure all footwear uppers meet customer specifications and quality standards.
Conduct regular in-line inspections and take corrective actions for defects.
Monitor first-pass yield and rejection rates.
Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to reduce rework and wastage.
Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality guidelines.
Supervise and guide operators, line leaders, and machine technicians within the closing department.
Conduct daily shift meetings and communicate production priorities.
Train employees on operational processes, quality expectations, and safety practices.
Monitor attendance, discipline, and performance of team members.
Identify skill gaps and recommend training interventions.
Analyze production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to productivity, quality, and efficiency.
Implement lean manufacturing and waste reduction practices.
Suggest process enhancements to improve output and reduce cycle time.
Ensure machines and equipment are operating efficiently and report maintenance requirements promptly.
Coordinate with the Maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
Monitor and control material consumption to minimize wastage.
Ensure availability of components and materials required for production.
Ensure adherence to factory safety policies and statutory regulations.
