Role Description
The React Native - Software Engineer Intern role is a full-time remote position focused on designing, developing, and testing mobile applications using React Native. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean and maintainable code, implementing user interfaces, integrating back-end APIs, and troubleshooting issues across platforms. The intern will collaborate with senior engineers to refine requirements, participate in code reviews, and contribute to documentation for features and processes. The role also involves learning and applying best practices in mobile development, version control, and software lifecycle management. This position offers exposure to real-world projects and an opportunity to build practical skills in modern mobile app development.
Qualifications
Strong foundational knowledge in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
Practical skills in Software Development and Programming, with experience in JavaScript/TypeScript and React Native or similar frameworks.
Understanding of Back-End Web Development concepts, RESTful APIs, and integration with mobile applications.
Familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and ability to apply OOP concepts to design and implementation.
Comfort with version control tools (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly with distributed teams.
Enrollment in or completion of a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Interest in emerging technologies such as AI, cloud services, data analytics, or machine learning is a plus.
