Role Description The Admissions Counsellor Intern (Marathi) is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad Area. The intern will engage with prospective learners, primarily in Marathi, to explain DIYguru’s programs, admissions process, and career outcomes, and to guide them in choosing suitable courses. Daily tasks include handling inbound and outbound calls, responding to inquiries via email and messaging platforms, maintaining accurate records in the admissions system, and following up with leads to support enrollment targets. The role involves coordinating with the academic and operations teams to provide up-to-date information, organizing counselling sessions or orientation meetings, and ensuring a positive and inclusive experience for all applicants. The intern will also support outreach initiatives, contribute feedback on learner needs, and uphold DIYguru’s mission of upskilling talent in future mobility.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Communication and general Communication skills, with fluency in Marathi and good proficiency in English and/or Hindi.
Candidates should possess solid Customer Service skills, including active listening, empathy, and the ability to handle queries and concerns professionally.
Candidates should possess Sales-related skills, such as lead nurturing, basic consultative selling, and comfort with meeting admissions and enrollment goals.
Candidates should possess an interest or background in Education, career counselling, or training, preferably related to engineering, technology, or mobility.
Additional beneficial qualifications include good organizational and documentation skills, familiarity with CRM or admission management tools, proficiency in MS Office or Google Workspace, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
A bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in any discipline is preferred; prior internship or experience in counselling, admissions, or customer-facing roles is an advantage.
