About The Role
The NetDevOps Consultant at SISL Global will play a pivotal role in transforming network operations through automation, integration, and AI-driven solutions. This position requires a highly skilled professional capable of managing complex network infrastructures and implementing modern DevOps practices. The role involves developing Network Infrastructure as Code (NetIaC), designing CI/CD pipelines, and deploying AI/ML-based operational enhancements. The consultant will work closely with cross-functional teams including Cloud, Security, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to ensure seamless, scalable, and reliable network services across cloud, edge, and enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovation, a deep understanding of networking principles, and experience in automation and observability platforms to support SISL Global’s commitment to operational excellence and digital transformation.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in network engineering, automation, and cloud environments. Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCDP, or equivalent are preferred. Demonstrated experience with network automation tools and scripting languages, particularly Python, Ansible, and Terraform, is essential. Familiarity with orchestration platforms like Itential, as well as observability tools such as SolarWinds, Grafana, and Elastic, is highly desirable. Candidates should have hands-on experience with core networking protocols including BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and VPNs, along with cloud networking in Azure and GCP. Excellent problem-solving skills, stakeholder management capabilities, and the ability to work within a global 24x7 operational environment are critical for success in this role.
Responsibilities
The NetDevOps Consultant will be tasked with a broad range of responsibilities designed to modernize and automate network operations. Key responsibilities include developing and managing Network Infrastructure as Code (NetIaC) using Python, Ansible, and Terraform to facilitate provisioning and lifecycle management. The role involves designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitOps principles, APIs, and orchestration tools like Itential to streamline network service deployment. Automating connectivity services such as VLAN, DNS, Firewall, and DDI, integrated with ServiceNow and ITSM workflows, will be a core focus. The consultant will also drive AI/ML use cases, including WAN capacity forecasting, anomaly detection, predictive analytics, and self-healing networks to enhance operational efficiency. Managing observability platforms such as SolarWinds Orion, Elastic, Grafana, and ZDX for proactive monitoring and insights is essential. Additionally, the role involves supporting AI agent integrations, ensuring AI-driven compliance, security monitoring, and cost optimization. Collaboration with Cloud, IAM, SRE, and platform teams to deliver unified control plane operations across Azure, GCP, and Edge environments is vital. The candidate will participate in design reviews emphasizing resilience, scalability, and automation readiness, creating reusable playbooks, pipelines, and modules for various workflows. Mentoring engineering teams and promoting best practices in NetDevOps, automation, and reliability engineering are also key responsibilities. Supporting global 24x7 operations aligned with SRE principles, including SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets, to reduce incidents through AIOps is expected.
