Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Civil Engineer role based at the NURA center in Kozhikode (Calicut). The Civil Engineer will oversee planning, design, and execution of civil works related to healthcare screening centers, ensuring structural safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient facility layouts. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing civil engineering designs and drawings, coordinating with architects, contractors, and internal stakeholders, and managing stormwater and site drainage solutions. The role also involves monitoring construction activities, conducting site inspections, managing quality and timelines, and supporting maintenance and upgrades of existing infrastructure. The Civil Engineer will contribute to creating patient-friendly, sustainable, and operationally efficient environments aligned with NURA’s healthcare mission.
Qualifications
Strong civil engineering foundation with skills in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design.
Experience in planning, site development, and project coordination, including Planning skills.
Knowledge of stormwater management, drainage design, and sustainable infrastructure solutions, including Stormwater Management skills.
Prior experience working as Civil Engineers on commercial, institutional, or healthcare facilities projects.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
Proficiency with relevant design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools).
Understanding of local building codes, safety regulations, and construction standards applicable in India.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on-site.
Experience in healthcare or hospital infrastructure projects is preferred but not mandatory.
