Azure Integration Developer

Job Description
On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is seeking an Azure Integration Developer to design, develop, document, and implement integration solutions for the CIS project, as well as support and develop integration solutions outside the CIS project. The Azure Integration Developer will be required to design, develop, and document interface solutions,s as well as participate in status meetings and assist with testing, troubleshooting, and bug fixes.
Deliverables
Design, develop, and maintain integration solutions that meet business requirements while ensuring data integrity, compliance with standards, and adherence to best practices.
Build, document, deploy, and configure integration solutions within a Microsoft Azure Integration Services environment.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to ensure successful implementation and delivery of integration solutions.
Complete assigned development, maintenance, support, release, incident, problem management, and documentation activities.
Monitor, troubleshoot, optimize, and performance-tune applications and environments to maintain high system availability.
Work directly with external teams to gather requirements, clarify technical needs, and present proposed solutions.
Collaborate with architects and integration developers to establish and promote design and development best practices.
Ensure alignment with enterprise integration standards, processes, and governance frameworks.
Produce and maintain solution documentation using established templates and documentation standards.
Analyze existing integration solutions and create or update supporting technical documentation.
Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and solution reviews with internal integration teams.
Additional Requirement
Must be willing to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and complete required privacy training before the assignment begins.
Mandatory Requirements
University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 5 years of overall IM/IT experience.
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Azure Integration Services, including:
Logic Apps
Azure Functions
App Services
Service Bus
Containers
API Management
Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
On-Premise Data Gateway
Minimum 5 years of experience developing solutions with C# and .NET.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to provide a focused resume highlighting relevant project experience, deliverables, and qualifications.
Must not have any conflict of interest related to specified procurement activities.

High-Volume Messaging Solutions
Experience building high-throughput integration solutions such as:
HL7
EDI
Enterprise messaging platforms
Experience handling large transaction volumes and message sizes.
Understanding of both Azure-native and application-level scaling strategies.

Hybrid & Multi-Cloud Integration
Experience integrating:
On-premises databases
Network file shares
Cloud-based applications
Experience with:
On-Premise Data Gateway
ExpressRoute
Hybrid connectivity solutions
Experience integrating with multiple cloud providers (AWS, GCP, OCI) is considered an asset.
Provide 1 project reference.
Secure Integration Solutions
Experience designing secure Azure integration architectures.
Expertise in:
Secure service communication
Identity and access management
Secrets and credential management
Compliance-focused integrations (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.)
Provide 1 project reference.
Monitoring & Observability
Experience designing monitoring frameworks for Azure Integration Services.
Knowledge of:
Azure Monitor
Application Insights
Logging and diagnostics solutions
Proactive alerting frameworks
Provide 1 project reference.
Healthcare Integrations (HL7/FHIR)
Experience developing solutions using:
HL7 v2.x
FHIR
Azure Integration Services experience preferred but other integration platforms accepted.
Experience integrating healthcare applications and vendor platforms.
Provide 2 project references.
Technical Documentation
Experience creating detailed Azure solution design documentation including:
Architecture diagrams
Integration flows
Security design
Database architecture
External system connectivity
Experience using tools such as:
Visio
Word
Architecture modelling tools
Ability to describe review and approval processes.
