User Experience Intern

Role Description
This is a full-time remote User Experience Intern role. The intern will support the design and improvement of digital product experiences by assisting with user research, creating wireframes and prototypes, and helping document user flows and interaction patterns. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with product managers, designers, and engineers, organizing research findings, preparing design assets, and contributing to usability testing. The intern will also help refine existing interfaces based on feedback and data, ensuring consistent and user-centered design across Appvanta’s projects.
Qualifications
Strong interest in user-centered design and basic skills in UI/UX tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
Ability to conduct and synthesize user research through interviews, surveys, or usability testing.
Skill in creating low- to mid-fidelity wireframes, user flows, and simple interactive prototypes.
Attention to detail in organizing information, documenting design decisions, and maintaining design consistency.
Clear written and verbal communication skills and comfort collaborating in remote, cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with basic design principles, accessibility considerations, and responsive design is beneficial.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or coursework in Design, HCI, Psychology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
