Role Description The Industrial Designer will work full time on-site at Würfel’s Bengaluru location, collaborating closely with design, engineering, and production teams. Responsibilities include developing innovative kitchen and wardrobe concepts, creating detailed product designs and specifications, and translating ideas into practical, manufacturable solutions. The role involves sketching, CAD modeling, prototyping, and iterating designs based on feedback from internal stakeholders and clients. The Industrial Designer will also participate in design reviews, ensure alignment with brand standards, and support continuous improvement in aesthetics, ergonomics, and usability. Regular interaction with vendors and manufacturing partners will be required to ensure design feasibility and quality.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Industrial Design and Product Design, with a portfolio demonstrating practical and aesthetic solutions.
Candidates should possess skills in Prototyping and Product Development to translate concepts into tested, production-ready designs.
Candidates should possess Design Thinking skills to approach problems creatively, empathize with users, and generate user-centered solutions.
Proficiency in relevant design and CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar) is beneficial.
A bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related discipline is preferred.
Strong visual, spatial, and material understanding, with attention to detail and quality.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally on-site in Bengaluru.
Experience in furniture, kitchen, or interior product design, and familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials, is an advantage.
