Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Facade Engineer role based in Bengaluru. The Facade Engineer will be responsible for designing and detailing building facades that align with architectural concepts, performance requirements, and project budgets. Daily tasks include coordinating facade design with the building envelope, preparing technical drawings and specifications, performing structural and building physics assessments, and collaborating with architects, contractors, and suppliers. The role involves reviewing materials and systems, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, supporting installation teams with technical guidance, and resolving facade-related issues during construction and post-installation.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in facade design and facade system development.
Candidates should possess applied knowledge of building envelope performance and integration with overall building design.
Candidates should possess competencies in structural engineering as it relates to facade safety, stability, and load-bearing behavior.
Candidates should possess an understanding of building physics, including thermal performance, acoustics, moisture control, and energy efficiency.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
Experience working on facade or building envelope projects in residential or commercial construction is preferred.
Proficiency in design and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) and familiarity with relevant codes and standards.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
