Role Description The Senior DevOps Engineer will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure that powers Pakt’s AI hiring platform. This full-time, on-site position in Mumbai involves implementing scalable cloud infrastructure, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring high availability, performance, and security across services. The role includes collaborating with engineering teams to automate deployments, manage environments, and streamline development workflows using infrastructure-as-code practices. The Senior DevOps Engineer will monitor systems, troubleshoot incidents, implement observability tools, and drive reliability and resilience improvements. This position also contributes to architectural decisions, process standardization, and best practices that support rapid, reliable delivery of new product features.
Qualifications
Strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills with tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar, and experience implementing automated environment provisioning.
Solid Software Development capabilities in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Go, JavaScript) to build tooling, integrations, and automation scripts.
Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration and delivery, including designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using platforms like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
Advanced System Administration expertise, including Linux server management, configuration, performance tuning, and system-level troubleshooting.
Proficiency with Linux-based production environments, containerization (e.g., Docker), and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) for scalable microservices deployments.
Experience with major cloud providers (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), including networking, security, and cost optimization best practices.
Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stacks) and experience implementing alerting and incident response workflows.
Background in security best practices for DevOps, including secrets management, access control, and compliance-aware infrastructure design.
