Role Description The Senior Engineering Manager will provide technical and people leadership for distributed engineering teams building Pakt’s AI-native hiring platform. This part-time remote role involves overseeing software development initiatives, ensuring high-quality delivery, and aligning engineering priorities with product and business goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include guiding architectural decisions, reviewing designs and code, coordinating cross-functional projects with product and operations, and managing integrations between platform components and external systems. The role also includes mentoring engineering leads, fostering best practices in reliability, security, and performance, and continuously improving team workflows and engineering processes. The Senior Engineering Manager will collaborate closely with leadership to scale the platform, support new features, and maintain a strong engineering culture in a remote-first environment.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Engineering Management skills, including building and scaling teams, performance management, and technical leadership.
Candidates should possess Team Leadership skills, such as coaching, mentoring, stakeholder communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
Candidates should possess Software Development skills, including experience with modern web technologies, cloud infrastructure, and AI or data-driven systems.
Candidates should possess Project Management skills to plan, prioritize, and deliver initiatives on time, manage dependencies, and handle risk and change.
Candidates should possess Integration experience, including designing and maintaining APIs, third-party integrations, and distributed system interactions.
Relevant qualifications include prior experience leading remote engineering teams, familiarity with recruitment or HR technology, and working in fast-paced product organizations.
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is beneficial.
Strong communication skills, a commitment to inclusive leadership, and the ability to operate effectively in a part-time, remote role are essential.
