Role Description The Product Development Specialist is a remote, contract role responsible for supporting the design, enhancement, and evaluation of investment research and analytics products. Day-to-day activities include conducting market and competitor research, gathering user feedback, and translating insights into product requirements and feature specifications. The role partners with research, analytics, and engineering teams to refine product concepts, test prototypes, and help prioritize the roadmap. This position also involves documenting product features, preparing internal and client-facing materials, and monitoring product performance to recommend continuous improvements.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Market Research skills, including competitor analysis and user needs assessment in financial or technology markets.
Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret quantitative data, investment metrics, and product usage trends.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for collaborating across teams and presenting product insights and recommendations.
Candidates should possess Research and Development (R&D) experience in shaping product concepts, testing features, and iterating based on feedback.
Candidates should possess Product Management-related skills such as roadmap support, requirements gathering, and coordination of cross-functional initiatives.
Familiarity with investment products (ETFs, mutual funds, portfolio analytics) and basic finance concepts is highly beneficial.
Experience working in remote, cross-functional environments and comfort with collaborative tools (e.g., project management and documentation platforms).
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, data analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
