Python Backend Engineer

Locations: Bangalore / Lucknow / Chennai / Chandigarh / Noida
We are looking for a skilled Python Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications and services. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Python backend development, API development, database technologies, cloud platforms, and microservices architecture.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python.
Build and maintain robust RESTful APIs and backend services.
Develop microservices and distributed applications using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and data access layers.
Integrate backend services with internal and external applications, APIs, and third-party systems.
Implement authentication, authorization, security, logging, monitoring, and error handling.
Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-tested code.
Perform code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
Troubleshoot performance, scalability, and production issues.
Work closely with frontend developers, architects, DevOps engineers, QA teams, and product stakeholders.
Participate in application design, technical discussions, and solution development.
Develop automated unit and integration tests and support CI/CD pipelines.
Contribute to cloud-native application development and deployment.
Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience in Python backend development.
Excellent knowledge of Python programming, OOP, data structures, and exception handling.
Experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
Strong experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Redis, or similar technologies.
Experience with Git and version control.
Good understanding of Docker and containerized applications.
Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
Experience working with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
Good to Have
Experience with Kafka or other messaging/event-streaming platforms.
Knowledge of Celery, RabbitMQ, or asynchronous processing.
Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures.
Familiarity with Redis caching and performance optimization.
Knowledge of authentication frameworks such as OAuth2, JWT, or OpenID Connect.
Exposure to AI/ML service integration or LLM-based applications.
Experience working with high-volume, distributed, and enterprise-scale applications.
