WE’RE HIRING | TECHNICAL LEAD – MANUFACTURING DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION & INDUSTRY 4.0
Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu
Work Mode: Full-Time
Experience: 8+ Years
Joining: Immediate Joiners / Short Notice Preferred
We are looking for a hands-on Technical Lead to work on Digital Transformation and Industry 4.0 solutions for manufacturing clients.
The ideal candidate should understand both technology and manufacturing, including shop-floor challenges, industrial/automation systems, and practical technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead technical design and development of Manufacturing Digital Transformation & Industry 4.0 solutions
• Understand manufacturing processes, shop-floor activities, machine data, and operational requirements
• Translate business/manufacturing requirements into technical architecture and solutions
• Work on system integration, data migration, data flow, traceability, and application interoperability
• Own delivery across design, development, integration, testing, deployment, and production support
• Stay hands-on with coding, debugging, system design, APIs, integrations, and troubleshooting
• Guide developers through architecture, code reviews, and technical decisions
• Work with Project Managers, Business Analysts, clients, manufacturing stakeholders, and technical teams
Technical Skills
Strong hands-on experience with:
• Java / Spring Boot | Node.js | Angular
• JavaScript / TypeScript
• REST APIs & Microservices
• PostgreSQL / SQL | Docker / Containerization
• Git, CI/CD & Cloud
• System, API & Database Design
• Data Migration & System Integration
React.js, Python/Django, messaging systems, or other modern technologies are an added advantage.
Manufacturing / Industry 4.0 Experience
Relevant experience in:
• Industry 4.0 / Smart Manufacturing
• MES / MOM | IIoT / IoT | Industrial Automation
• Shop-floor applications & operations
• Machine / equipment data
• PLC / SCADA / machine connectivity
• OT-IT Integration
• Production monitoring & analytics
• Manufacturing data migration & integration
• Production / process traceability
• Asset monitoring / reliability
• ERP-MES / manufacturing system integration
• Supply Chain / Manufacturing applications
The candidate should understand real-world manufacturing and shop-floor operations, including data flow, integration, migration, and traceability across systems.
What We’re Looking For
• 8+ years of software/technology experience with technical leadership exposure
• Strong hands-on coding and problem-solving ability
• Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams
• Understanding of manufacturing and shop-floor environments
• Experience with Industry 4.0, MES/MOM, IIoT, automation, integration, or manufacturing digital transformation
• Ability to connect manufacturing/business requirements with practical technology solutions
• Strong client communication and technical decision-making skills
This is a hands-on Technical Lead role. Candidates focused primarily on people management, project coordination, or generic software development without manufacturing/industrial exposure may not align with the requirement.
Immediate joiners / short notice candidates are strongly preferred.
