New Product Development Engineer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site New Product Development Engineer role based in Hosur. The New Product Development Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing new plastic components and products, from concept through to production. Daily activities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, conducting feasibility studies, and preparing detailed mechanical designs and drawings. The role involves coordinating prototype development, performing testing and validation, and implementing design improvements based on performance, manufacturability, and cost considerations. The engineer will also support R&D initiatives, documentation, and communication with stakeholders to ensure timely and successful product launches.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Mechanical Engineering knowledge, including materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical design principles.
Candidates should possess skills in Product Development and Product Design, with experience taking products from concept to commercialization.
Candidates should possess Research and Development (R&D) skills, including experimental design, data analysis, and problem-solving for product improvement.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with design, production, quality, and sales teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Experience in plastics, packaging, or related manufacturing industries is an advantage.
Proficiency with CAD software and engineering tools used for product design and validation.
Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
