Copywriting Intern
Company: Pureverse Private Limited
Brand: Pure Caffeine
Function: Creative & Communications
Location: Thane, Maharashtra
Experience: 0–1 year
Employment Type: Internship
About Pureverse
Pureverse is a consumer brand company building a portfolio of modern, quality-led brands across categories.
We are building brands from the ground up — from strategy and identity to packaging, communication, digital experiences and consumer engagement.
As a Copywriting Intern, you will work closely with the Creative & Communications team and gain hands-on exposure to how ideas are developed, written, refined and translated into real consumer-facing communication.
About the Role
We are looking for a Copywriting Intern who is curious about language, culture, brands and people — and who believes that the right words can make an idea significantly more powerful.
You will contribute to communication across brand, campaigns, packaging, social media, digital, content and marketing.
This is a hands-on role. You will be expected to write, research, brainstorm, edit, rewrite and collaborate with designers and the wider marketing team.
We care about strong writing, but equally about the thinking behind it.
Key Responsibilities
Develop copy for social media, digital campaigns and brand communication.
Assist in developing campaign concepts, creative territories and communication ideas.
Write and refine headlines, taglines, captions, scripts and long-form content.
Contribute to packaging and product communication.
Research consumer behaviour, cultural trends, competitors and relevant categories.
Work closely with designers to translate ideas into creative executions.
Review, edit and proofread communication for grammar, clarity, tone and consistency.
Participate in creative brainstorming and contribute original ideas.
Adapt communication across different platforms and audiences.
Support the Creative & Communications team across ongoing brand and marketing projects.
Continuously improve existing communication through multiple rounds of editing and refinement.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
Strong command of written English.
Excellent grammar, punctuation and spelling.
Ability to communicate an idea clearly and concisely.
Strong curiosity about brands, people, culture and communication.
Ability to identify interesting observations and turn them into ideas.
Willingness to research before writing.
Ability to accept feedback and rewrite work without losing the original thought.
Strong attention to detail.
A genuine interest in reading, writing and storytelling.
A Strong Fit Would Also Have
An understanding of advertising, branding or social media communication.
Interest in consumer behaviour and popular culture.
Exposure to copywriting, content creation, advertising or creative projects.
A portfolio, personal writing samples, college projects, social content or other work demonstrating how they think and write.
Professional experience is not mandatory. We are more interested in the quality of your thinking and writing than the number of years on your CV.

Creative Assessment
As part of the selection process, candidates will receive a short creative brief designed to understand how they observe, think and write.
The assessment will focus on:
1. The Thought
What did you notice?
Why is that observation interesting or relevant?
2. The Idea
How could that thought become something a brand could own?
3. The Writing
Develop the copy required to communicate the idea.
This could be a headline, social post, campaign line, script, caption, series or another appropriate format.
4. The Execution
Show how the idea could appear on social or digital platforms.
Simple execution is completely acceptable. We are primarily evaluating the idea, thinking and writing, rather than graphic-design ability.
Reading & Cultural Reference
As part of the application, tell us about one book, writer, advertising campaign, creator or piece of culture whose writing you admire.
In 100 words or less, explain what makes it good.
There is no prescribed answer. We want to understand what you notice, what you value and how you articulate your point of view.
What You’ll Gain
Hands-on experience working on consumer brands.
Exposure to brand strategy and creative development.
Experience across campaigns, packaging, social and digital communication.
Opportunity to work closely with creative, brand and marketing teams.
Exposure to the process of building brands from the ground up.
An environment where ideas are discussed, challenged, rewritten and improved.
Who Should Apply
This role is suitable for candidates with 0–1 year of experience, including students, recent graduates and aspiring copywriters who can demonstrate strong writing and original thinking.
We are not looking for someone who simply knows how to write.
We are looking for someone who notices things, thinks about them, and knows how to turn those thoughts into words.
