About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join Verisk's dynamic development team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance analytical solutions that support critical decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in full stack development, particularly with the core technologies of .NET, Angular, and AWS. You will work in an agile environment, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into elegant, functional software solutions. Your contributions will directly impact Verisk’s ability to deliver innovative risk assessment tools and analytics, helping clients prepare for and respond to extreme events effectively.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of professional, full-stack software development experience in a commercial setting.
Deep understanding of frontend UI development, backend business logic, and system scalability.
Proficiency in core technologies including C#, Angular, PostgreSQL, and Python, or other enterprise languages with strong translatability.
Strong analytical and debugging skills, with the ability to reverse-engineer complex codebases and identify issues efficiently.
Experience working in cloud environments, particularly AWS, with a focus on performance optimization and cost efficiency.
Legal authorization to work in the United States, including U.S. citizenship, Green Card, or H-1B visa eligibility.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain robust backend RESTful services and intuitive Angular-based frontends, ensuring maintainability and scalability.
Translate complex system requirements and architectural designs into efficient, reliable software solutions.
Develop cloud-based analytical frameworks, performance-driven algorithms, and specialized tooling to support Verisk’s data analytics initiatives.
Contribute to DevOps practices by implementing automated testing, continuous integration, and deployment pipelines, ensuring high-quality releases.
Optimize applications for performance, stability, and cost-efficiency, ensuring seamless functionality across various environments.
Experiment with and incorporate AI tools and techniques to enhance development workflows and improve analytical outcomes.
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams including data scientists, product managers, and DevOps engineers to deliver innovative solutions.
Maintain best practices in coding, documentation, and testing to support ongoing maintenance and future development efforts.
