Solar Design Engineer (Immediate Joiners - 8 LPA)

Role Description The Solar Design Engineer will be responsible for designing rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems, including system sizing, layout preparation, and component selection. Day-to-day tasks include preparing detailed engineering drawings, single-line diagrams, and BOMs; performing site assessments and shading analysis; and using solar design software to optimize system performance. The role involves coordinating with project managers, procurement teams, and on-site execution teams to ensure designs are practical, compliant, and cost-effective, as well as preparing technical reports and documentation for clients and regulatory approvals. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Jaipur, with an offered compensation of up to 8 LPA for immediate joiners.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in electrical or mechanical engineering, with proficiency in solar PV system design principles and basic electrical calculations.
Experience using solar design and simulation tools (e.g., AutoCAD, PVsyst, SketchUp, Helioscope, or similar software) for layouts, shading analysis, and performance estimation.
Knowledge of relevant standards, codes, and regulations for solar installations, including safety practices and grid-interconnection requirements.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, prepare engineering documentation, and coordinate with cross-functional teams for project execution.
Effective analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills, with attention to detail and a focus on quality and reliability.
Good written and verbal communication skills to present technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field; prior experience in solar design projects is highly beneficial.
Willingness to work on-site in Jaipur and join immediately; familiarity with Indian solar market practices and local DISCOM requirements is an advantage.
