Chief Financial Officer

Role Description This full-time remote Chief Financial Officer (CFO) role is responsible for overseeing the organization’s overall financial strategy, health, and compliance. The CFO will lead financial planning and budgeting processes, manage cash flow, and provide data-driven recommendations to support long-term growth and stability. Day-to-day tasks include supervising the preparation and review of financial statements and reports, monitoring key financial metrics, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and accounting standards. The CFO will collaborate with executive leadership on strategic initiatives, support fundraising or financing activities, and communicate financial performance and risks to stakeholders. This role also includes managing finance team members, optimizing financial systems and controls, and driving continuous improvement in financial processes.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Financial Planning and Finance to lead budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation.
Candidates should possess expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial documentation.
Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, assess risk, and support strategic decision-making.
Candidates should possess experience leading finance teams and collaborating with executive leadership on organizational strategy.
Candidates should possess knowledge of GAAP or IFRS, tax considerations, and regulatory compliance relevant to the organization’s operations.
Candidates should possess excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; an MBA, CPA, or equivalent credential is preferred.
Candidates should possess proven experience in a senior finance leadership role, ideally as a CFO or comparable position in a similar-sized organization.
