Role Description
The Entertainment Banker is a contract, remote role responsible for structuring, advising on, and facilitating financing for entertainment projects such as films, series, and digital content. Day-to-day tasks include assessing project proposals, performing basic financial analysis, and advising creators and producers on funding options, budgeting, and risk considerations. The role involves building and maintaining relationships with investors, financial institutions, and entertainment partners, as well as supporting negotiations and documentation related to project financing. The Entertainment Banker will collaborate with internal teams to align financial strategies with creative and production goals, while maintaining compliance with relevant financial and industry standards.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in finance and banking, including experience with project financing, budgeting, and financial analysis.
Knowledge of entertainment industry economics, such as production budgets, revenue streams, and distribution models.
Ability to build and manage relationships with investors, financial partners, and creative professionals in a remote environment.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Comfort working with contracts, term sheets, and basic legal and compliance concepts related to financing.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
Commitment to supporting underrepresented and emerging talent, with cultural awareness and inclusive mindset.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, entertainment management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Prior experience in entertainment banking, media finance, or related areas is preferred but not required.
