Head of Engineering

You don't want to inherit a tech stack — you want to set its direction. As Head of Engineering you own the engineering execution and architecture of the entire Qadar AI Shield suite, from the browser extension to the control plane.
Qadar AI is in the company-building stage. The architecture decisions, hiring choices, and engineering standards you make now will carry the company from first lighthouse pilots through Series A readiness. You partner directly with the founder office — no layers, no committees.
What you'll own
You define and own the end-to-end architecture across Shield Web, Shield Desktop, Shield Mobile, and Shield Control.
You build and lead the engineering team — from the first hires through Series A readiness.
You set the technical standard for reliability, security posture, and deployment speed that makes Qadar AI credible in enterprise security reviews.
You partner with the founder office on product roadmap tradeoffs and build-vs-buy decisions — the founder office owns the vision, you make it real.
You keep the suite shippable: enterprise depth where it wins deals, minutes-not-months deployment where it wins customers.
What you bring
You have built and shipped security or infrastructure products — software that runs in production for paying customers.
You can recruit strong engineers early and create an environment they want to stay in.
You operate comfortably at both architecture and implementation level in a company-building stage.
You communicate technical tradeoffs clearly to founders, customers, and investors alike.
You take quality seriously — in code, in security posture, and in how decisions get documented.
